Lion Plumbing Supply, Inc. was originally Leo’s Plumbing Service, Yes; this was a plumbing-contracting firm with a small service and new residential plumbing construction background. Charles R. Steele Jr. and Leo Ouellette founded this company in 1956.

Business was good through the 1960’s and a retail counter was established for repair parts and irrigation sales.

In 1972 Charles Steele hired Paul Gentile to work on the sales counter and also help with the plumbing side of the company. A contractor base was established and the sales counter grew from a fifteen foot wide storefront to its first expansion of doubling its space to thirty feet. During the decline of construction in the 1970’s the sales counter flourished and plumbers started to buy from us frequently. We wanted to move our business to the wholesale side, and to survive in the wholesale trade you cannot be a plumbing contractor and a wholesale supply at the same time. The time was upon us to end our contracting and service business and we changed our name to Lion Plumbing Supply, Inc.

Paul Gentile became a partner with Charles Steele and our supply business grew from a thirty-foot wide storefront to a facility that encompasses four buildings with over forty- thousand square feet of warehouse space and a forty thousand square foot pipe yard.

Today we have thirty-two dedicated employees to service our customers along with five trucks for prompt and accurate deliveries. We take pride in filling our orders with fill rates of 98%. Lion Plumbing Supply, Inc. can ship anywhere in 24 hours. We carry a complete inventory of plumbing supplies and fixtures to fulfill any job large or small! Our inventory covers the needs for the service plumber, the new construction plumber, (residential and commercial), underground contractor, pipe fitter, industrial mechanic, schools, apartment complex and manufacturing installers. We also carry a complete line of power and hand tools designed for the plumbing and underground mechanic. We sell wholesale only and our rapid sales counter and prompt sales department will not keep your plumber or mechanic waiting for material.

In 2005, we opened a state of the art retail showroom of high-end plumbing products. Our showroom is located across the street from our wholesale warehouse. Our professional showroom associates are there to help you or your customer with the design to the final product and we guarantee prompt service, delivery, and quality products we can service for a lifetime.
